Been a while...

 So... yeah it has been quite a while since I have posted on here... and seeing as no one noticed, I guess that is okay!

So just to update a little... Book 2 first draft is finished and going to my editor next month! The book cover is being worked on as I type this... so lots going on and I am pretty excited about getting the second book of The Tales of Iryvalya out to you as soon as possible!

Opening up...

I am nervous to post this to the whole world, but I want to be open and honest with my readers/followers and also perhaps help anyone else who has struggled with weight issues…

Most that know me, know I have struggled my whole life with my weight, I have never been “skinny” or “thin”, or hell even “average” or “normal” weight. So, without tell many people (there were only a handful of those who knew) in 2016 I had an elective surgery that was really hard for me to decide to have… I had the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery, AKA Weight Loss Surgery… Part of the reason I haven’t told people, is because I was so embarrassed that I needed this, that people would think I didn’t try so many other ways (and believe me I have) to lose weight, and they would think this was the “easy way out”… well, this was not the easy way out by far, however it was the best choice for me so I could get healthy for myself and my family.

Big thank you to all who have supported me on this journey so far, I couldn’t have done it without you! And a very special thanks to my husband Joe for his constant support in me doing what is best for my health!

I want to share my journey with my weight loss journey as well as everything with my book and upcoming novel. Please feel free to ask me any questions!

Painting fun night

Had a blast last night at Painting with a Twist​ with one of my very long-time friends!!! Thank you so much for suggesting it Em! I definitely recommend Painting with a Twist (GR,MI) if you're interested! Kaylin was our Artist teacher and was amazing! Very energetic and definitely had us laughing with Timon & Pumbaa!

How is today the last day of August? The summer has seemed to have flown by so quickly... Now we are preparing for school days ahead, as well as the beautiful Michigan leaves preparing to dazzle us with their color displays. I know not everyone loves the fall, but it is definitely my favorite time of the year! I love the changing colors of the trees and that cool crisp feeling in the air. There is also something magical in the air with all the pumpkins around, and the yummy fresh apple cider!

I will miss the lazy days of summer of course, and getting to spend more time with the kids, but I will embrace the new season with cups of my favorite tea sitting next to me as I continue to work on book 2!

I hope you all have had a wonderful summer and are ready to enjoy the new season!

Summer time is finally here

It is so nice that summer is finally upon us! The kids are out of school and the days are longer... Am I the only one who loves the smell of fresh cut grass? I cannot get enough of it, sometimes I feel as if I could almost overdose on it!!!

I have been working more on book 2, and enjoying the direction that Nyrieve is moving in, she is no longer the girl from the beginning of book 1, but she still has so much further to go.

Back... again!

Well, I kind of feel like I am about to repeat my last post, but for the last two months the "plague" has been going through our house over and over again! lol I guess that is what happens when you have kids in school, they pick up every little bug and then bring it home to share with everyone else!


So now it seems that the sickies are about to be fully moved out of the house (still have a little bit of a lingering cough but almost gone), and I am actually getting back on track with working on book 2! I have been working on my storyboards and I have had the breakthrough of where Nyrieve will be going and how she will be getting there! There will be some new discoveries, joys and definite devastations ahead for her.


Looking forward to the upcoming beautiful weather, I actually purchased my first bicycle since High School! It's been too long, but hey, isn't it just like riding a bike? lol

It has been a long time since I last blogged and I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! Sadly the sick bugs have been going through my house like crazy the last couple of months, and FINALLY we all seem to be coming back from taking turns being sick!

I have completed more work in Book 2 in "The Tales of Iryvalya" series, and I am really excited for the direction it is taking. I think you all will enjoy some of the new characters that will be joining Nyrieve's journey and might really despise other ones as well, those who are not really wanting Ny to succeed in her journey fulfill her journey as the "Bringer of Peace".

96 years ago women were finally given the right to vote, and today I have exercised that right! :)

I think it is a very important thing to teach our children how important it is to get out and vote. Even if the person you vote for doesn't win, you at least get to have your voice heard!
